Kosovo and Bulgaria sign agreement on cultural cooperation

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, is on an official visit to Bulgaria, where he met with the Minister of Culture of Bulgaria, Minister Rashidov. The two ministers signed the Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Bulgaria.

Initially, Shala had talks with his counterpart, Rashidov, on bilateral relations between the two countries, which were regarded as extremely good, as well as a range of topics of mutual interest related to cultural cooperation.

Minister Shala thanked Minister Rashidov for the support Bulgaria has given to the state of Kosovo in all processes, and added that the act of signing the Agreement on Cultural Cooperation, concretizes more the relations between the two countries and is in view of deeper recognition through culture and cultural heritage.

Ministers Shala and Rashidov, with a special emphasis talked about concretization of this act of signing the agreement, through concrete initiatives, considering this agreement as an important step that helps deepen cultural cooperation.

Shala and Rashidov also said that culture is a very important area for recognition between people and states, and a very important factor for the overall development.

Also, two ministers, Rashidov and Shala, said that the cultures of the two countries are interesting and should be recognized through joint projects and cultural exchanges.

The agreement that was signed today includes a wide range of topics for concrete cultural cooperation, ranging from cooperation in cultural international music and dance, contemporary art and cultural heritage, libraries, museums and archives, film, books and literature, copyright, etc.
