Great Britain continues to strongly support Kosovo

Visit of Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Rexhep Hoti, to Great Britain continued with important meetings.

Hoti met with the representatives of Kosovo Desk at British Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with whom he discussed about series of important issues.

Deputy Minister Hoti expressed his gratitude for Great Britain’s support shown toward Kosovo in all its stages of statebuilding.

He said that it is very important, and especially through the culture, to have both states further strengthen their relations.

Deputy Minister proposed series of initiatives for cooperating in the fields of cultural heritage, theater, ballet, opera, etc.

Meanwhile, Graham Styles, head of Kosovo Desk of British MFA, said that Great Britain is going to be one of the strong supporters for Kosovo, ready to cooperate at any time.

He said that even after the decision of the Great Britain to exit the European Union, it will not have negative impact on the relationship among these two states.

While speaking about Kosovo, Styles highlighted that Kosovo possess great wealth of cultural heritage, thus it is important to have focused directed in this area.

Hoti and Styles spoke about the issue of having Kosovo become member of UNESCO and agreed that even greater joint work should be done to have Kosovo become part of this organization.

Both also spoke about other important issues, such as dialogue, rule of order and law, normalization of Kosovo – Serbia relations.
