340 thousand Euros for the stadium in Kaçanik

Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, has signed today a memorandum of cooperation with the Municipality of Kaçanik, aiming to realize the project "Renovation of the Football Stadium in Kaçanik", where MCYS will invest funds in the amount of 200 thousand Euros.

Memorandum signed between the parties provides that the investment be carried out in a two-year phase. Kaçanik, according to the signed document, takes the obligation to invest 140 thousand Euros, 70 thousand in 2016, while 70 thousand euro in 2017.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, said that funding for this important capital project for the Municipality of Kaçanik is within the investment MCYS is doing throughout Kosovo, with the aim of improving infrastructure for the sport in Kosovo . The stadium will be an important zone for athletes from Kaçanik and serves to create more favorable conditions for these athletes to perform sports and produce positive results.

For his part, Mayor of Kaçanik, Besim Ilazi, thanked Minister Shala for cooperation and said that the project for the stadium is in the benefit i of the football players and the citizens of this municipality, who will have better conditions to carry out sports activities.

At the meeting was also discussed the progress of works in the Sports Hall, which is being built in the town of Kaçanik, where according to the budget planning for the period 2016 - 2018, MCYS will invest another half a million Euros in this capital project.
