Zahaqi now has a Sports Hall

Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, has signed today a memorandum of cooperation with the Municipality of Peja, the purpose of which is financial support for the "Construction of the Sports Hall in Zahaq, Peja".

Through this memorandum, MCYS invests funds of 650 thousand Euros for two years; investment will be done in two phases. The first phase of 50 thousand Euros for this year, while the other phase of 600 thousand euro for 2017, while Municipality of Peja takes over to invest 10 thousand euro in 2017 on this capital project.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, said that the capital investment in Zahaq, Municipality of Peja, is in the wake of numerous investments that MCYS is doing throughout Kosovo, with the aim of improving sports infrastructure in Kosovo and creating more favorable conditions for Kosovar athletes to be able to perform different sports and produce positive results.

Mayor of Peja, Gazmend Muhaxheri, thanked Minister Shala for cooperation and said that the capital investment in Zahaq, Peja is in the benefit of the citizens of this municipality, who will soon have modern conditions to carry out sports activities.
