Kosovo participates with eight athletes in the Olympic Games

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, has met today the leader of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Besim Hasani, with whom he talked about the preparations made by Kosovo to participate in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Chairman of KOC, Besim Hasani informed Minister Shala about preparations made until now, the composition of the Kosovo Olympic Team, which, as he said will have eight athletes and this participation is an extraordinary success of sports in Kosovo.

President Hasani further said that Kosovo Olympic team is in good condition and has made the necessary preparations for a successful presentation of Kosovo and its sport in the Olympic Games.

He further thanked Minister Shala for the continued support he has given to the sport of Kosovo; support which has resulted in the creating favorable conditions for the sports development in Kosovo.

Minister Shala said that Kosovo institutions are committed to support KOC and all athletes in this important event of world sports, and added that Kosovo's participation for the first time as a state in these games, as well as a solid representation, is proof of hard work, as well as distinctive qualities and successes of sports in Kosovo.
