500 students in internships in national institutions of culture

Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports has signed today a memorandum of cooperation with the University of Prishtina "Hasan Prishtina" for engaging students in practical work, through which it provides paid internships for students from five faculties: Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Philology, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Education and Faculty of Engineering and Architecture.

On this occasion, Minister Shala said that cooperation with the University of Pristina is very important, through which concrete cultural institutions will cooperate directly with the University of Prishtina.

Also, Shala added that the involvement of students in the work of ministries and national institutions is the way and the best opportunity for students of the university and their professional development.

Inter alia, Minister Shala said that the first year is supposed to be the testing year and thereafter we can consider the possibility to expand and increase cooperation and the number of students.

Pristina University Rector, Marjan Dema thanked Minister Shala for this important cooperation, and said that the engagement of students for practical work in different institutions has been University’s main goals.

This memorandum shall enter into force on January 1, 2017, and internships will be paid from 15 to 18 euro per day. According to the memorandum, a student will be eligible to work two days within a week, while the period of engagement in practical work lasts three months.
