The contract for the full-scale renovation of the stadium in Prishtina has been signed

Today, at the premises of the stadium of Prishtina, has been signed the contract for the full-scale renovation of the stadium in the amount of about 3 million and 800 thousand Euros.

The ceremony where the contract was signed, was attended by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, representatives from the Municipality of Prishtina, Kosovo Football Federation, representatives of FC Prishtina and the contracting company, "Altrade" and "Izolimi".

Works for the renovation of the stadium will last 14 months and after renovation, the stadium will fulfill all criteria set for international matches, was said at the ceremony.

Financing of the project will be made according to the memorandum signed last year between MCYS and the Municipality of Prishtina, where 75% of the funding will be covered by the MCYS and 25 % the Municipality of Prishtina.

Also, supervision of works within this contract will be carried out by the MCYS, in collaboration with the Municipality of Prishtina.

On this occasion, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala said that this is a major investment of the ministry, joint investment of the government and the Municipality of Prishtina in order to improve sports infrastructure in the country.

He further added that this is a good example of joint work and investment of about 3 million 800 thousand Euros, by which the stadium will fulfill all criteria for international competition and will be in the service of football in Kosovo.

Works for the renovation of the stadium will begin within 10 days.
