Kosovo and Croatia have continued their cultural cooperation

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, has welcomed today in a meeting the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, Zlatko Hasanbegović, with whom he discussed the continuation of cooperation between our institutions and those Croatian, especially after signing the Cultural Cooperation Agreement, concluded in Zagreb a few days ago.

The meeting is a continuation of that in Zagreb and which was regarded by the two ministers as very positive, since they are paving the way to further concretize cooperation between Kosovo and Croatia through initiatives and appropriate actions.

Minister Kujtim Shala has highly appreciated the visit, which takes place just days after the meeting in Zagreb, and as such is in view of deepening the cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Shala said that the protocol agreement between the two countries and frequent meetings between the institutions of the two countries, open the way for cooperation in specific areas.

He further said that the Kosovo institutions have begun preparations, so cooperation becomes more concrete, especially in heritage, in the field of conservation, cinematography, literature, translations.

Minister of Culture of Croatia Zlatko Hasanbegović said that cooperation between Kosovo institutions and those of Croatia is excellent and is rooted in the past, as we are speaking about two friendly countries, and added that this cooperation, after signing the cultural agreement, has a clearer nature and it will deepen with concrete initiatives in view of common cultural interest of both parties.

Ministers Shala and Hasanbegović also discussed the possibility to specialize our staff in the field of cultural heritage in Croatia's institutions, especially in the field of preservation, as Croatia is known for a tradition in this field.
