Deputy Minister Hoti met with the Minister Sven Gatz in Belgium

Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Rexhep Hoti had an official visit in Belgium, where he held important meetings with representatives of state institutions of culture and Albanian cultural associations in Belgium.

Deputy Minister Hoti met with the minister for Culture, Media and Youth in Flanders Regional Government, Mr. Sven Gatz, and discussed a range of issues of importance to culture, cultural heritage, youth and media.

Minister Gatz expressed his readiness to deepen cooperation between the Government of Kosovo and the Government of Flanders, in the points covered by the institution he heads.

Concerning cooperation in the field of heritage, minister Gatz suggested concretization with the Flemish Prime Minister’s office in the near future.

In turn, Deputy Minister Hoti thanked Gatz for the meeting and willingness to cooperate with the Government of Kosovo.

Hoti said that it is very important to exchange experiences especially in the field of cultural heritage but also that of diplomacy and cultural diversity.

The Deputy Minister also congratulated the Flemish Minister for the organization of the international cultural festival "Ballkan Trafik" attended by the Republic of Kosovo with a series of points, some of them sponsored by MCYS.

During his stay in Belgium, Deputy Hoti participated in the 10th edition of the International Cultural Festival "Ballkan Trafik" which was held in Brussels.

Hoti met with different cultural representatives from countries in the region and beyond and discussed about the importance that cultural values merge into a single point as the festival "Ballkan Trafik".

Further, the Deputy Minister met with representatives of the Albanian cultural associations in Belgium.

He highly appreciated the work these organizations are doing by nobly presenting the Albanian culture and the possibility that Albanians in Belgium are having to get involved in various cultural activities.

Hoti said that MCYS will always be supportive of such associations and initiatives that aim to promote and preserve the Albanian culture even outside the Albanian borders.
