Deputy Minister Hoti visited the municipality of Klina

In the wake of important visits carried out within and outside the country by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Rexhep Hoti, today he visited the municipality of Klina, where he was welcomed by its Mayor, Sokol Bashota.

Hoti promised support in the field of sport and culture, saying that the ministry is obliged to provide the space where young people can perform their activities.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Klina, Sokol Bashota demanded the construction of a Youth Center, the construction of a museum and urged support for a substation for the sports hall.

Besides meeting with Bashota, Deputy Minister Hoti visited the Cultural Center where was interested to closely see the investments made by the municipality of Klina.

Later, Deputy Minister Hoti, accompanied by the director of the Archaeological Institute of Kosovo, Enver Rexha visited the vilage called Dresnik in Klina, where is located the archaeological site discovered in 2012, with lots of different mosaics.

Deputy Minister Hoti said that the government and the ministry does not have the level of responsibility to deal with the weight that this ancient site has.

Whereas, Enver Rexha, director of the Archaeological Institute of Kosovo, asked the ministry to increase the budget for this site, as he said the site should be soon accessible to citizens for visits.

Among other things, Hoti expressed the opinion that the Archaeological Institute of Kosovo should organize a scientific section honoring the work of the historian who specialized in the study of the Illyrians, Aleksandar Stipčević.

After that, Deputy Minister Hoti said that the Archaeological Institute of Kosovo should make all the necessary preparations for holding an international conference of archeology in Kosovo by mid next year.
