Minister Shala welcomed the new Ambassador of Turkey in Kosovo, Kivilcim Kiliç

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala welcomed the new Ambassador of Turkey accredited in Kosovo, Kivilicim Kiliç. During the introductory meeting, they discussed the current cooperation between Kosovo and Turkey, as well as its further extension.

Initially, Minister thanked the Ambassador for her visit, wishing her success in her work, adding that the Ministry of Culture has good cooperation with the Turkish government and independent Agencies, especially in the field of cultural heritage.

Minister of Culture, Kujtim Shala informed the ambassador also about the application of Kosovo to become a member of UNESCO, considering the importance of membership in this organization, and asked for Turkey’s help to pass political obstacles on the road to the membership.

While, Ambassador Kivilcim Kiliç thanked the Minister for the appreciation and hospitality. She said that Turkey is extremely pleased with the level of cooperation reached with Kosovo, including relations in the field of culture and heritage.

Turkish Ambassador Kiliç said that the main task of the two countries is to continue and strengthen the relations and cooperation.

In this context, she assured that her country will continue to support Kosovo.

Regarding Kosovo's membership in UNESCO, she said they are carefully monitoring the process, and even at this point she assured that Turkey will support Kosovo.
