Minister Shala visits Mitrovica

Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports, Kujtim Shala, accompanied by Deputy Minister Rexhep Hoti and chairman of the Football Federation of Kosovo, Fadil Vokrri was today on a visit to Mitrovica, where he was received by Mayor Agim Bahtiri.

Minister Shala and Mayor Bahtiri discussed the cooperation between MCYS and the Municipality of Mitrovica.

Minister Shala said that the aim of the visit is to become closely acquainted with the problems related to the institutions of culture, sport and youth as well as youth policies. These areas, according to Minister Shala, require cooperation and interaction between MCYS and the Municipality.

Moreover, Shala said that the purpose of his visit to this city is not only for the inspection of works in some facilities where works are taking place and that MCYS funds, but also as prospects about other projects.

Mayor Bahtiri thanked Minister Shala for the support he has given Mitrovica, especially for important investments in improving sports infrastructure in the city, and for the renovation of the house of "Jafar Deva."

After meeting in the municipality, Minister Shala, accompanied by Deputy Minister Hoti, Mayor Bahtiri, president of the Football Federation of Kosovo, Fadil Vokrri, inspected the on-going work at stadium "Riza Lushta", at Sports’ Centre "Minatori", at the Olympic Stadium "Adem Jashari" as well as at the Multifunctional Sports Centre.
