MCYS awarded Nora Gjakova and Donjeta Sadiku

Today, in the Cabinet of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala,was organized the reception ceremony for the leaders of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Olympic Team and Nora Gjakova, who, in the European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan, won the bronze medal.

Minister Kujtim Shala, congratulated the Kosovo Olympic Team for Kosovo’s presentation at these games, assessing the participation of Kosovo and the bronze medal as a significant success of the sport in Kosovo. Shala also congratulated Nora Gjakova on her success at these games.

At this ceremony, according to the Regulation on State Awards to Athletes that reach top results at International Competitions, Nora Gjakova was awarded 20 thousand Euros, while her coach, Driton kukaj was awarded 10 thousand Euros.

In this case, MCYS also awarded Donjeta Sadiku , who at the World Championship held in Taiwan, was announced the runner-up in boxing for youth. Under Regulation on the State Awards for athletes who reach top results at International Competitions, Donjeta Sadiku was awarded 5 thousand Euros, while her coach was awarded 2 ,500 Euros.
